DRESS REHEARSAL: FRIDAY, MAY 8TH

Dancer call time for dress rehearsal is 5pm. Dancers must arrive fully ready with their first costume on. Recital group picture will be taken on stage at 5:30pm. Dress rehearsal will start immediately after the group picture is taken. All classes, other than Mommy and Me and Aspiring Abilities, must stay the entirety of the dress rehearsal and recital. Dancers are allowed to have only one parent/guardian present in the audience during dress rehearsal.

*Dancers must arrive completely ready in their first costume. Please remember that dancers are not allowed to wear any of their dance shoes outside. 

Mommy & Me and Aspiring Abilities: 

Call time is no later than 1:30pm – Enter the lobby and head to the door on the right side of the lobby. Someone will meet you at that door to take you backstage. After your dance is over, someone will walk you back to the same drop off door. A parent must meet us at the drop off door and pick up their student, so they can sit in the audience for the remainder of the show. If the Aspiring Abilities class and Mommy & Me class would like to participate in bows at the end of the show, they must head back to the drop off door during the 32nd dance, “We Dance.”

Baby Ballerinas: 

Call time is no later than 1:15pm - Enter the lobby and head to the door on the right side of the lobby. Someone will meet you at the door to take you backstage. Baby Ballerinas are required to stay backstage during the recital. Please make sure to bring your dancer a labeled water bottle, snack, and activity. No tablets or electronics are allowed backstage. 

Mini Combo, Petite Combo, Mini/Petite Hip Hop:

Call time is no later than 1pm- Enter the lobby and head to the door on the right side of the lobby. Someone will meet you at the door to take you backstage. Minis and Petites are required to stay backstage during the recital. Please make sure to bring your dancer a labeled water bottle, snack, and activity. No tablets or electronics are allowed backstage.

Junior Combos, Advanced Combos, Advanced Hip Hop, and Musical Theatre:

Call time is no later than 12:45pm- Enter the lobby and head to the door on the right side of the lobby. Someone will meet you at the door to take you backstage. These classes are required to stay backstage during the recital. Please make sure to bring your dancer a labeled water bottle, snack, and activity. No phones, tablets or electronics are allowed backstage.

LDC: 

Call time is no later than 12:30pm- Enter the lobby and head to the door on the right side of the lobby. Someone will meet you at the door to take you backstage. LDC is required to stay backstage during the recital. Please make sure to bring your dancer a labeled water bottle, snack, and activity. No phones, tablets or electronics are allowed backstage. 

PICK UP: The lobby area after the recital is very crowded. Please have only one parent meet us at the door to pick up their student. 

TICKETS

Every family receives two comp tickets. These tickets will be printed out and handed to you in late April/early May. Additional tickets can be purchased through a link that will be sent out soon! Tickets can be purchased at the door as well with cash or check.

PHOTOS/VIDEO

Recital Photo Weekend is April 17th and 18th. Brooke Thompson is taking our recital photos again this year. A link will be sent out through email for you to book an individual photo session for your dancer. We are not taking group dance pictures this year. Photo weekend details below:

Hello Legacy Dance Families! 

I am excited to get to work with you all again this year! I wanted to provide you with as much information as possible before photo weekend, April 17th and 18th, so that you know what to expect and are prepared before coming into the studio. Please read this email in its entirety to fully understand how photo weekend will go.

The sessions will be similar to last years set-up, but also slightly different.

*Please remember these photos are only for current Legacy Dance Studio students enrolled in the 25-26 season and photos can only be taken in their recital costumes.*

This year, like last year, if you have ONE dancer in ONE costume you will book the individual dancer slot. This will be 5 minutes and you will receive one digital image for free to download once you get your photo gallery. If your dancer would like photos in more than one costume, you will need to book an individual slot for EACH costume. Each slot will be the same length of time, you will receive one digital download per booking slot. In your photo time your dancer will be guided through different poses that go along with their dance/costume. They will have the following photos taking during their session: headshots, portraits, and at least 4-6 different full-body dance poses.

 If you have MORE THAN ONE dancer, you can book the multiple dancer slot. This is new this year and we are trying to make it simpler and more efficient for families who have multiple dancers. In the multiple dancer slot, each dancer will have their own individual photos taken and then if desired, the entire group will have 1-2 group poses for some group shots. So, each dancer will be guided through the same poses as if it were an individual session, then the dancers will get together for some group photos. The multiple dancer slot is 15 minutes and included in your booking/sitting fee is 3 digital downloads. Each dancer will be limited to only one costume in this time slot. If you have a dancer/dancers who want photos in more than one costume, you will have to book an additional slot.

This year, unlike last year, each dancers photos will be put into their own online gallery. The reasoning for this is to provide privacy for the dancers/families and to also allow you to purchase the entire gallery if desired. Once the photos have been edited, the gallery/galleries will be emailed to each parent and you can purchase digital downloads or prints from the store, just like last year. If you have more than one dancer in your family, they will all be put into the same gallery for your convenience. If you have only one dancer, they will have their own gallery and if they wear more than one costume, all the photos will be in the same gallery.

This year the photos can be purchased individually or in bundles/packages. The pricing for digital downloads is as follows:

1 photo - $10.00

3 photos - $25.00

5 photos - $35.00

8 photos - $50.00

12 photos - $70.00

20 photos - $105.00 (an individual dancers full gallery)

30 photos - $160.00 (a multiple dancers full gallery)

To book your photo slot, click the appropriate link and then follow the steps. You will pay the booking/sitting fee when you book your time slot.

Once the photos have all been edited, all the galleries will be sent out at the same time. I am going to do my best to have them edited and back before recital day (May 9th). If there are any changes to this timeline, I will let you all know.

During the recital, please remember that you are not allowed to video. A professional video recording is included in the recital fee that you pay in May. The video recording of the recital will be sent to everyone after the recital. You are allowed to take photos during the recital, but please remember flash photography is not permitted.
